The lodge is nestled in a tranquil setting with beautiful grounds, including a koi pond and a peaceful meditation maze that provide a lovely retreat after a day of hiking.
While the breakfast offerings were flavorful and homemade, I would have preferred more variety, especially for those with specific dietary needs.

The stay was a true letdown. I expected a sumptuous breakfast, not just 'ok' food like a chain hotel. The lack of walkable options really cramped my style, and woudl ve been nice to get a complimentary room upgrade for my troubles. Almost thought of giving a good review, but just couldn’t do it. Disappointing.

great access to hiking trails and local hot springs
my stay was fantastic because the Appalachian Trail was literally steps away, making for beautiful hiking experiences right out the door, and we also loved that the hot springs resort and spa was only a short 15-minute walk for some relaxation after our adventures.

The homemade breakfast offerings were a delightful start to each day, particularly the fresh in-season fruit and homemade biscuits.
The breakfast options were on the simpler side and could benefit from additional variety.

Breathtaking mountain views and peaceful surroundings.
I had a disappointing experience with the dining options here. The breakfast was lackluster and barely better than a chain hotel. Additionally, the location was quite remote with not many dining options nearby, which made finding a decent meal a frustrating task.

Great hiking options and nice outdoor dining area. Wi-fi was spotty though.

We had an amazing time hiking on the Appalachian Trail and experienced stunning views at the top. Debra made us feel right at home, showing us around and providing great local recommendations. The common areas like the library and gardens were cozy and inviting for family bonding.
My wife says that more organized kids' activities would enhance family stays.

The location was a true gem for backpackers like me, with direct access to the Appalachian Trail and serene surroundings perfect for relaxation after a long trek. I particularly enjoyed the beauty of the grounds, which featured a koi pond and a peaceful meditation maze, providing a lovely retreat after a day outdoors. The homemade breakfast was a delightful bonus, especially the granola, which fueled my adventures.
